Columbia
Business School
Centered in New York City, the global hub of business,
Columbia Business School offers its diverse and entrepreneurial students daily
access to influential industry leaders.
Columbia Business School was founded in 1916, thanks in
part to a generous gift from banking executive Emerson McMillin. Eleven faculty
members taught the inaugural class of 61 students, which included eight women.
At Columbia Business School, we prepare our students for
career success by connecting their classroom education to the trading floors,
board rooms, and retail stores where theory is put into practice. Our
Entrepreneurial Greenhouse Program prepares future founders to get their ventures
off the ground by providing funding, access to expert mentors, and the chance
to present to professional investors. On average, nearly half of these
businesses are launched soon after graduation.
Our renowned faculty members are at the forefront of
their fields, producing groundbreaking research across disciplines. And our
worldwide alumni network continues to grow and impact change. At Columbia
Business School today, we're celebrating our place at the very center of it
all.
Columbia Business School is the place for motivated
thinkers poised to lead the next wave of business breakthroughs. Built on the
foundation of our core curriculum and refined through our elective offerings,
the skills you gain here will pave the road to success in any industry. Program in Columbia
